this may be a stupid question, but im somewhat new to the whole fixie culture, and in AZ where i live, its not nearly as big as in other cooler citys. but back to my question, i see lots of pics of peoples bikes, with what looks like postcards in the spokes. What are these? if someone could shed some light on that subject i would appreceate it.

Usually events such as courier races give out spoke cards to the participants. Originally, they were used at checkpoints but now they are pretty much souvenirs. In addition, other cycling cultural events seem to be giving out spoke cards. For more information check out:
