On June 9th, 2007, cities around the world will experience the exposed joy of the world's largest naked protest against oil dependency and car culture. It's time to stop indecent exposure to automobile emissions! Hundreds of cyclists will ride in various stages of undress, reclaiming the streets as sexy, self-propelled citizens. Raw Naked Bicycle People Power!
The Vancouver ride starts Saturday, June 9, 1:00pm at Sunset Beach (corner of Beach and Bute).
Clean Air Day

CAD was proclaimed by the Government of Canada to increase public awareness and action on two key environmental priorities, clean air and climate change. It is part of Canadian Environment Week, which was created to promote and to celebrate activities that care and nurture our environmental legacy.
World Environment Day

That date was chosen because it was the opening day of the United Nations Conference on the Human Environment (in Stockholm, 1972), which led to the establishment of the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP).

Bike Fix and Skill Share

Come to the Wednesday bike fixing/skills share night at Pedal Metal Studios & the Depot, 194 West 3rd (alley entrance). Open to all Pedal volunteers -- if you aren't one already we'll make you one. Expect to join the bike polo folk truing wheels and building mallets.
Stand time is by donation, $5 per hour suggested.
A small stock of used parts available for rummaging futilely through.

This Wednesday anytime between 7:30 and 8:30 a.m.
Place: 511 Union Street (at Jackson) on the Adanac bike route.

Whether it's mountain biking, road, or BMX, you'll have the opportunity to talk shop with the pros, and ride away with great deals on bikes, gear & apparel at the 2007 Vancouver Bike Expo.

Sunday, February 18th: 10am - 5pm
One of the best new features for the 2007 show will be the NSMBA bike/gear swap, which has become the largest bike/gear swap in Western Canada! The 2007 swap will take place on the event floor during show hours. The best news is that all money raised will go to the NSMBA who maintain trails of all types on the North Shore! Also new for the 2007 show will be a showcase of Unicycle Hockey by Vancouver’s own world champion Kris Holm and professional autograph sessions with Canada’s top riders!
