It's time to STOP THE ADDICTION and on April 1st we hope you will join with thousands of activists around the world in the 4th Annual Fossil Fools Day to do just that. Fossil Fools Day is a day where citizens unite to say no to the oil pushers and demand a break from our addiction to -- an addiction that threatens our environment, our economy, our health, our sports, our workforce, and leads to war and conflict around the world. Join Reverend Niko and other Vancouver Cruisers for this ride the First Sunday of the Month. Meet 12pm Noon for breakfast at The Cambie Pub (the corner of Cambie and Cordova), then ride all afternoon. The ride usually leaves around 1:30 pm. Route is variable.

The course covers drivetrain maintenance, brake and gear adjustment and flat tire repair. Courses are held at Our Community Bikes, 3283 Main Street near 17th Avenue. Cost is $40 plus tax. Following on the heals of the well attended Delta rally against the Gateway Project is the door-to-door distribution of Gateway to Global Warming newspapers in the Premier's riding. Gordon Campbell only won this seat (as an incumbent) by 2200 votes. Volunteers are needed for Saturday, April 14, 9 am to 10:30 am, rain or shine. Meet at 8:45 am in the parking lot of Kits Beach to get street assignments and newspapers. The Gateway 30 Network wants to cover the riding and still make it to the Step It Up Rally later that day at 11 am. After we do the Premier's riding we'll be doing other cabinet minister ridings. On the last Friday of every month, the velo people of Vancouver (that means the bike lovers) assemble 5:30pm at the Vancouver Art Gallery for Critical Mass -- a showcase of bike love and a statement about biking and sustainability. They ride around, raising awareness which culminates at the ANZA Club for one of the craziest bicycle afterparties in the city. With entertainment and acts of all sorts, Velofusion is a dose of East Van Community, Activism and Spirit. ANZA Club, 8th Avenue at the Ontario bike route DJ Timothy Wisdom is always on hand as this is one of his favourite events each month.
