Preparing for the Third Wave of Cyclists-Cycling facilities designed for the future cyclists RSVP: CALL 604.291.5100 Within Vancouver, cycling for transportation has grown slowly over the past 20 years to a respectable level within North America. To create a step change and cause a new wave of major cycling growth there will need to be changes in thinking towards cycling infrastructure design with trends towards the European approach. Hear more on techniques from other cities within North America and Europe which should be brought to this region to help spur that next stage of growth. Following on the heals of the well attended Delta rally against the Gateway Project is the door-to-door distribution of Gateway to Global Warming newspapers in the Premier's riding. Gordon Campbell only won this seat (as an incumbent) by 2200 votes. Volunteers are needed for Saturday, April 14, 9 am to 10:30 am, rain or shine. Meet at 8:45 am in the parking lot of Kits Beach to get street assignments and newspapers. The Gateway 30 Network wants to cover the riding and still make it to the Step It Up Rally later that day at 11 am. After we do the Premier's riding we'll be doing other cabinet minister ridings.
