Put on by the Burnaby Velodrome Club, Learn to Ride (LTR) is designed to introduce youth and adult cyclists of all abilities to riding the track. LTR is a three session program that provides cyclists with an introduction to track cycling and teaches the basic skills of handling a fixed gear track bike, entering and exiting the track, velodrome ettiquette, riding pacelines, and introduces basic race-oriented topics. A Winner Take-All Madison at the Burnaby Velodrome Challenge On Friday, November 10th, the Burnaby Velodrome will host an Open Madison with a minimum of a $400 prize purse. The winning team takes home the entire purse. The track opens at 3pm, with the Madison scheduled for 8pm. Space is available for 10 teams. This Madison is being held as part of a larger race weekend, the Burnaby Velodrome Challenge #1, with racing continuing through Sunday. More details a www.burnabyvelodrome.ca. | ||

Put on by the Burnaby Velodrome Club, Learn to Race is designed to introduce adult cyclists to racing on the track. LT Race is a program that provides cyclists with an introduction to track racing and teaches the basics of competition on a fixed gear bicycle. Mass start events as well as individual events are covered. Riders are taught attacking, advanced handling, and other skills. Learn to Race requires that riders are competent track cyclists and have graduated from the Learn to Ride program or have approval from the Program Director. Fee: Cdn$ 30.00 | ||
