Throwing down the glove!

A while back some of the .83 group took a trip up to Vancouber, BC to cruise around the city on our bikes for a weekend. We had a great time, and Meshkat was kind enough to show us around. We got to talking while out at the bars and started telling Meshkat about some of our awesome races we've been putting on in Seattle. Stories of the Sea-Town Slam sprint series, and Dean's Drag Race we got to thinking about bigger things. It was decided that we'd have a showdown: Vancouver vs Seattle this summer.

Each city would have their own race series this summer culminating in a race of the champions hosted in either VCBC or Sea-town. There would be lots of partying, jousting, trackstand comps, and racing like madmen. It would be beautiful! I returned to Seattle and started spreading the word. People here were more than excited and started demanding races right away. They wanted to prepare for the international battle. But then we hit a bit of a problem. Meshkat went AWOL. He was not to be heard from again! What happened to the Canadian race series? Where did Meshkat go? Surely the Canadians weren't backing down from a good-hearted challenge? I mean, what's better than showing up a bunch of loud-mouthed americans on the streets?

I am now issuing a challenge! I'm looking for a group of people from the Vancouver area who are up to the race battle of the century! You'd need to set up a few races in Vancouver to find out who your stronger racers are, and then start chatting with me to work out the main event. We're looking at flipping a coin to determine which city will host it, and try to set up a weekend in August for the race. Things are all set up in Seattle for it. We have places for people to stay, spots to party, and more than enough locations for putting up and throwing down! This is something we're excited about and really want to do, but we need help. I promise it'll be tons of fun!

Of course if you guys just can't handle it, then maybe we'll bring a race to your streets and have our own fun whether or not you show up!
